Your saved positions stay in the mobile app’s local device storage. Separately, Google AdMob and its partners may process data to serve and measure non-personalized banner ads, and the host of this website may record basic access logs. This policy does not claim that no data is collected.
Overview
This Privacy Policy describes data handling for the DCA Calculator mobile app and its public app information at qwwa.com/apps/dca-calculator/. It does not apply to other or future QWWA apps. The app is a personal cost-average calculation and purchase-history tool. It does not require an account. The QWWA website provides product information, policies, and support; it does not access the positions saved in the app. General site visits and support emails are also described in the QWWA Website Privacy Notice.
Portfolio data stays on-device
When you save a position, the mobile app stores the information you enter, such as stock symbols, share quantities, average prices, and purchase history, in your device’s built-in local storage (AsyncStorage). We do not operate a portfolio account or server to receive this information, and we cannot view or recover it.
You can remove positions within the app. Uninstalling the app normally removes its local data; your device’s backup or restore settings may affect copies outside the app. Please manage device backups through your device provider.
Mobile app advertising
The mobile app is supported by non-personalized Google AdMob banner ads. Although the ads are requested as non-personalized, Google and its advertising partners may still process information needed to deliver, secure, and measure them. Depending on device settings and applicable permissions, this may include an advertising identifier (IDFA or GAID), IP address, approximate location inferred from network information, device and app information, and ad interaction data such as impressions and clicks. This information is separate from your saved portfolio positions.
Where required, the app uses Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) to present a consent form before ads are requested. Available choices and the way the form appears depend on your region and Google’s configuration. Where the option is available, you can revisit your consent choices in the app under Settings → Manage Ad Privacy Choices. You may also use your device’s advertising and tracking controls.
Google’s handling of advertising information is described in the Google Privacy Policy. The app does not operate its own separate analytics SDK.
Website access logs
The QWWA static website, including this DCA Calculator page, does not provide an account, portfolio upload, or on-page tracking scripts. Like most hosted websites, its hosting provider may automatically record basic technical access logs when you visit: IP address, request time, requested page, browser or device information, referring page, and error or security events. These logs are distinct from mobile-app portfolio data and may be used to operate, secure, and troubleshoot the site. We do not use this website to access your saved positions. If you email us, we receive your email address and the information you choose to include in your message so that we can respond. Please do not include sensitive financial details in a support email.
How information is used and shared
Portfolio data is used locally by the app for its calculations and saved-position features. Ad-related data is processed by Google and its advertising partners for delivery, fraud prevention, and measurement as described by Google. Basic website logs may be handled by the hosting provider to deliver and maintain the site. Support emails are used to respond to inquiries.
We do not sell the positions you enter in the app or transmit them to an advertising partner. We do not ask you to provide a name or email address to use the mobile app. Third-party advertising and hosting providers have their own processing practices; refer to their policies for details.
Retention and control
Saved positions remain in your device’s app storage until you remove them or the app’s local data is deleted. Google determines retention for data it processes through AdMob under its policies. Website access logs are retained according to the host’s operational and security practices; we do not promise a fixed log-retention period. Support correspondence may be kept as needed to handle a request and maintain a record of the response.
Your choices and rights
You can edit or remove the portfolio data available in the app. Where offered, use Settings → Manage Ad Privacy Choices to review or change choices made through the UMP form. Your device settings may also provide controls for advertising identifiers and tracking. For Google-held ad data, consult Google’s Privacy Policy and its privacy controls.
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information, object to certain processing, withdraw consent, or contact a data protection authority. To ask about website logs or support correspondence that may be associated with you, email info@qwwa.com. We will review requests in light of the information available to us and applicable law. We cannot retrieve your locally stored portfolio data from your device.
Children’s privacy
DCA Calculator is not directed to children under 13. The app’s ads are configured as not child-directed. If you believe a child under 13 has sent personal information to us through a support email, please contact us so we can review and address the request.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app, website, or relevant practices change. The effective date at the top will be updated when the policy changes. Please review it periodically.
